Thanksgiving Cheat Sheet


Planning Thanksgiving dinner can be stressful. Luckily, our friends at Today Home have come up with a step by step cheat sheet to make the day flawless. To view the detailed list, click here.

 

Two Weeks Before:

  • Make your guest list.
  • Decide your menu.
  • Stock up on staples like butter, sugar, flour, and eggs.
  • Purchase disposable supplies.

One Week Before:

  • If you’re purchasing a frozen turkey, buy it now.
  • Prepare your cranberry and store it in your fridge.
  • Select wine to go with your meal.
  • Ask your kids to organize games for younger guests.

Thanksgiving Week— Monday:

  • Clean out fridge.
  • Purchase perishable items.
  • Place your turkey in the fridge to begin defrosting.

Thanksgiving Week— Tuesday:

  • If necessary, iron linens and polish silverware.
  • Print out recipes and make sure you have all of the ingredients needed.

Thanksgiving Week— Wednesday:

  • Cut up bread for stuffing.
  • Prepare pies. Cover and refrigerate.
  • Prepare any make-ahead side dishes. Cover and store in the fridge.
  • Set up any extra table and chairs.
  • Chill drinks.

Thanksgiving Day!!

  • Prepare stuffing.
  • Clean the turkey.
  • Set table
  • Roasting times vary. Be sure to put the turkey in the oven in time to be fully cooked by dinner.
  • Set out appetizers.
  • Enjoy!
