Home Selling Tips (What You Want To Know Wednesdays)

When selling your home, you want to make sure that the outside space is cozy and inviting. Your living space is not defined by the interior walls of your home. Living space extends all the way to the property lines in the front and back of your home, take advantage of the extra space. As an added bonus you can polish the kick plate and doorknob on your doors! You can stage the outside area with tables and place settings, or stage your barbeque area with a set of mitts and tools next to the grill. If you have a pool you can add towels and pool toys to add some zest. You can also set up backyard games or a slip and slide. Don’t forget to make sure your lawns are watered and green as well as clutter free. Lawns that are not taken care of and dried out may turn off potential buyers. You can also add flowers to liven up the scenery. As an added treat, supply pitchers of cold water with lemons or cucumbers, lemonade, or iced tea. This small touch will make potential homebuyers happy and encourage them to develop an emotional attachment to the home and want to make it theirs.
